    I do not recommend.

"I have worn New Balance Shoes for years, and this is the first pair that were uncomfortable! I ordered the size I usually do, but they just don't seem to fit--the toe is too wide and when I put them on, my feet tire quickly. I'll go back to 827."

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I love these shoes, they fit perfectly. I have a bunion and my feet hurt all the time. I went to a shoe store that specialize in shoes for diabetes. Even though I don't have that problem I figured they could help me with my bunion and sore toes. They measured my feet (first time in years# and I found out I was wearing the wrong size shoe. I need a size 12. I always thought that as one ages their feet did not continue to grow. My younger days I was size 9, 10, & 11. I figured by age 60 my feet would stop at size 11. When I picked up my size 12 #that freaks me out) shoes they had a bigger toe box which gave me more room and the wide shoe made my bunion stop hurting. I never knew I could get a shoe with a larger toe box. I can walk all day in these shoes and my feet no longer hurt. I love them and plan on ordering another pair right away. I bought the 840 and love walking without pain. I also like the fact the shoes are made in the USA."

    Loose heel and not comfortable

September 29, 2013 by | Arlington, VA, USA

"I expect better than this from New Balance. When you buy the SL-2 last, it should have the narrow heel but this one was very loose and the show kept slipping. Also, the footbed was not very comfortable. This is the third pair of shoes than have disappointed me and now I'm done with New Balance. For 10+ years I bought nothing but New Balance walking shoes but no longer."

"I agree with the previous reviewer: Please give us a neutral shoe with lots of cushioning using the SL-2 last. I vote for solid colors: black, bone, white, gray."
