The New Balance Minimus 1010 Road is designed for runners looking to enter the wonderful world of Minimus, but with caution and a bit more underfoot. A 4mm offset comes to life on an everyday running shoe with slightly more cushioning. With midsole heights of 16mm/12mm, runners have ample cushioning in a natural foot position.
Features
  • 4 mm drop: due to variances created during the development and manufacturing processes, all references to 4 mm drop are approximate
  • Minimus is a whole new approach to footwear, a new place on the spectrum from barefoot running to the traditional maximum-cushioning running shoe. Inspired by Good Form Running and designed to be worn with or without socks. With only a 4mm drop* from heel to toe, as little as a third of that of a traditional running shoe, the Minimus collection holds a world of discovery for neutral runners as well as those with gait issues or chronic injury to conquer by learning better form.

"Used these for all of my road and track training runs. I also used these for 2 half marathons and a 15k. I use the MT1010 for trails and 00 for 5k-10k. I had no issue with these shoes and have logged more miles than recommended for most running shoes."

"The shoes felt good when I first started using them for short runs, less then 2 miles. When I started running more than 2 miles in the shoes, the circles on the bottom of the shoes would cause blisters on the bottom of my feet. I usually run 4-6 miles several times a week and would not recommend these shoes."

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I have been running in the Minimus Zero Trail, which I think had a nice fit, were very breathable, and light weight, but were not very comfortable on long runs on the pavement. So I decided to upgrade to the Minimus 1010 for a little more cushioning. The 1010 does not disappoint. It is very comfortable on long runs while still keeping the feel of a "minimal" running shoe. Not as light or as breathable as the Zero Trail, but definitely takes the bite out of running on pavement. I ordered the 1010 in the same size as my Zero Trail, but had to exchange them for a 2E because the D width was more narrow than the D width in the Zero Trail. Very happy with them after 30 miles and counting..."
