Excellent lightweight trainer-- Attractive and made in USA!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I ONLY buy American and was stoked to see a high performance NB training shoe that was also sharp looking. I purchased the hot neon green color. These shoes have been great so far, the cushioning and comfort are great. Not too sure on the durability yet. The only small issues--the toe box is a bit too roomy and the heel midsole is too thick. A little more low profile would be great. Feels a little blocky. Very nice and also good in the weight room, but don't use for rope climbs as the midsole showed some light shredding."

    comfortable, but major durability issues

"This is the first pair of New Balance shoes that I have bought for running and just getting into the sport I thought I would try out another brand besides Nike. I bought these shoes at my first half marathon expo last October and with the weather being so bad in Michigan, I only wore them on the treadmill and now that its warm outside. This past weekend I finished my second half marathon and wore these shoes. They functioned fine and my feet are good. The problem is that there are what look like tears all over the shoes. I am guessing that I only have around 150-200 miles in these so far and I really don't know how much longer they will last or if I want to wear shoes with rips and tears on them. All of my Nike's have lasted around 500 miles, and now after this experience I will probably not try New Balance again."

    Great Training Shoe

January 30, 2014 by | Boston, MA, USA

    • Used Product For: 8 or more weeks
    • Miles with Product: 20+ miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 20+ miles
    • Primary Activity: Running

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"What a great shoe. I have purchased this shoe multiple times as it is a great training shoes to put high mileage on. I trained for my last marathon in them and easily put on 500+ miles on them before needing another pair. I averaged 50-70 miles a week while marathon training. This shoe never gave me any issues during my training. I recently have retired them and will be purchasing a new pair this week for Boston training. These shoes are also light enough to run a marathon in. I did not however, as I usually race in the New Balance 1400 (another great shoe). But for those who like to stick with one pair of shoes right through a marathon these are them!"
