Yes, I recommend this product.
"I've used 804s and predecessors for 20 years or so -- tennis twice per wk -- for motion control and wear and for my long narrow foot -- size 13B. I was worried when I read the negative reviews on the new 806s, but literally nothing else has worked for me. I've worn them for 3 weeks now and they are just fine. I don't understand the negative reviews. We need to keep NB making these shoes in widths!!"

Yes, I recommend this product.
"Am mystified why so many negative reviews. I finally came to the end of my stockpile of 804's, which I loved. Judging from the reviews, I was worried the 806 wouldn't fit the same, but it does (I take a 2E). Have worn them 3 times now with the same thick socks I wore with the 804."

"I have worn New Balance tennis shoes for over 20 years. I have a wide foot and their shoes have traditionally provided a quality product worth the investment. This is the first tennis shoe that has not met New Balance quality standards. I wore this shoe 11 times, and today the leather toe came to pieces. The leather, which was dry, split across the toe in a six inch half circle. I could patch the shoe with duct or electrical tape, but this would limit the stability of the shoe when playing tennis. New Balance needs to provide better quality control for this higher end tennis shoe."

"Disappointing shoe. Appears and feels cheaply made. Bought because i couldn't find a replacement for the discontinued 782. The sole is much too hard, even with my custom orthotics. I play on har-tru but it feels like I'm playing on concrete. I also don't feel the shoe gives sufficient support around the ankle and heel. I don't know why you keep discontinuing good products and "upgrading" them to inferior ones."

"I've worn 800 series shoes for a long time. The 806 is the worst version and my last New Balance purchase. Everything about this shoe, compared to the 804 is cheap. The toe box is smaller and narrower, there is no padding left in the tongue and there is very little cushioning in the sole. The shoes are hard as a rock on the court and do not provide good support. NB even cheapened the insert by cutting it down so it no longer provides a heel cup. It is too bad the company has chosen to give up on quality in the search of cost cutting. Short sighted in my opinion since I will no longer be a customer. This same pattern seems to emerge in reviews for all their shoes."
