Smaller than tennis shoe of same size

    May 10, 2014 by | Southern California

    • Used Product For: less than 2 weeks

"I have purchased tennis shoes here for years and like them for the fit and durability. My recent purchase of these hiking shoes was a disappointment. The 13 4E is much smaller than the tennis shoe is bought last month. Had to return them."

"I'm a new customer to NB, and now have two pairs - 610 and these 889. I'm a tactical trainer for law enforcement and these are my new go to shoes for working the drills on the range. I used to wear tactical boots but found I need something more athletic and light weight. I smiled as soon as I slipped these on upon delivery. Great cushion, feel tough yet sporty. If true to my other NB shoes. I will post later on how they hold up to a beating after a few weeks. As of a few days I plan on buying a few more pairs before NB changes the style too much. It ain't broke NB, leave these ones alone! ;)"

"I bought these shoes at the end of Summer because I needed some shoes that I could walk a lot in while still looking nice. These shoes have been THE BEST shoes that I have ever bought. The soles are very nicely cushioned. They also do not wear away quickly like many of my past shoes have. Many of my other shoes rip along the bottom seam, however, these have not! I have done light hiking in them but I would not hesitate to hike many days in these. If you are looking for some great all around shoes I highly recommend these shoes!"

Best low cut hiking shoe they make right now

"I really wish they still made the 1521 - but this show is basically the same form factor and tread that that one had - plus about $60 cheaper, but without Rock Stop and Goretex. They' uppers are not as durable as the more expensive shoe, but they hold up pretty well. I hike at least 100 a miles a month, and these shoes last on average about 300 miles before needing to be replaced. I've tried the 978, the 958, the 461, and the 910s - and this shoe is better than any of those for tread quality, comfort, reliability, and value. I strongly recumbent these to anyone who needs a hiking shoe."

    HURT MY FEET BAD!

November 24, 2013 by | Pensacola, FL, USA

    • Used Product For: 8 or more weeks
    • Miles with Product: 20+ miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 16-20 miles
    • Primary Activity: Walking

"I am only purchase New Balance shoes. 99.9% of the time they work out, and fit perfectly because i can order 4E (wide). These shoes hurt my feet so bad from taking walks (2.5 - 4 miles). I don't even wear them any more. Even to do errands or for short periods of time they hurt my feel. It was a wast of money - I am very dissappointed."
