    Bulky and Unlike original

July 4, 2014 by | New York, NY

    • Used Product For: 2-4 weeks
    • Miles with Product: 11-15 miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 20+ miles
    • Primary Activity: Running

"This shoe is terrible. The shoe itself is bulky and feels very wide. Also, I am not a fan of the material, it feels very cheap and can see blisters arising everywhere if you wear them without socks. Unfortunately they no longer make the Minimus Road 00, the NB 1600s or the NB 1400s. I'm gonna have to go back to the Nike Zoom Streak which are light weight and great for racing."

Not as good as the original

"I'm not sure why NB changed the structure of this wonderful shoe (the first version). The first version of this shoe was the best shoe I've ever purchased, and I wish I had bought 5 more pairs. The new version is just horrible to run with since the sole of the shoe now feels tougher. Why would NB change this, I don't know, but it ruined the experience of running "barefoot" like. Now I end up looking for the first version online...if I can find it. Last year I ran over 600 miles with the first version. We're in mid year, and I barely ran 180 miles with the new version...simply impossible. BRING BACK THE FIRST VERSION.... PLEASE!!"

Best Running Shoe I Have Ever Owned

    • Used Product For: 2-4 weeks

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I have been running competitively for about 3 years now and I this is by far the greatest minimus shoe I have owned. I have had the zero v2s for about three weeks now and the transfer from the minimus trial to this was very quick and easy. This shoe keeps you on your forefoot and toes and helps you have good running form. Very lightweight and the best barefoot shoe out there. Fits comfy as well. :D"

Please bring back the original Zero

    May 9, 2014 by | Westminster, MD

    • Used Product For: less than 2 weeks
    • Miles with Product: 6-10 miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 16-20 miles
    • Primary Activity: Running

"I have been wearing the Minimus Zero since they came out and LOVE them. I've gone through at least 4 or 5 pairs. I've worn them for training and race distances from 5K to full marathons. Even wore my las set for the Dopey.. 48.6 miles in 4 days and my feet felt GREAT.I should mention I have also worn them without socks. Which was one of th ethings I really loved about them. I ran a marathon in the rain and still my feet felt fantastic. I was excited at first about the V2 until I wore them. The original design was completely seamless. The new design added a seem along the inside of the shoe - and a rather thick seem at that - that runs from the sole to the laces. Well I took my first run in the V2 this morning and I have raw marks on both feet at the seem where the material meets the sole. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I'll continue to see if I can find the original and wear those but once that supply runs out or until NB changes this design it is going to be time to find a new running shoe."
