"These shoes were great however I would not recommend to use on a trail or road because it would either hurt your feet because there is no padding and on the road the your knees would take a huge pounding to where you could get runners knee. However I used the shoes on the track they are very light and were able to get me to championships. Also with the shoes I was able to go from running a 5:05 with nike spikes to running a 4:49 mile with them. I also used them a lot with the treadmill. Unfortunately due to the two fabrics that make the sole rub so much together because I place at least 25 miles a week with these shoes that is was able to now after 1 year they are officially retired some of the pads fell as I ran 2 miles on Monday but now I will be purchasing new one so I can use in college."

"I love these shoes however I was severely disappointed in their durability. I'm not even a runner and these needed to be replaced within 6 months."

"I understand people being severely disappointed when they receive an unfortunately faulty product; it has happened to me in the past. However, I have not had any manufacturing issues with these shoes. I am currently deployed in the Middle East and I cannot think of a more austere environment to run in. These shoes have held up extremely well! Since I have to have a fully enclosed toe on the Army Physical Fitness Test, this is the single best option on the market! Light, flexible, yet still provides all of the support I need for a great run!"

"I had been running in Minimus Zeros and decided to try the HiRes for "less shoe". I was skeptical about the thin rubber between the rubber pods. Sure enough after 6 weeks I wore holes on the outside of my shoes near the forefront of the shoe where the sole meets the upper. Fortunately, the New Balance Experience Store took the shoes back. In all, they were great while they lasted... I just need my shoes to last longer."

"I began running in minimalist shoes three years ago, and thought of myself as a five finger purist. I tried on a pair of Minimus Hi-Rez at a New Balance store, and was overwhelmed. I purchased and began running in them right away, and fell in love with them even more. I noticed significant wear on the rubber pads pretty quickly, but not enough to concern me. After 224 miles, they have massive holes in the bottom between the rubber pads. I am so disappointed- I thought I'd finally found the perfect shoe. They're great if you don't mind buying a pair 3-3 times more often than a typical pair of New Balance running shoes."
