"They fit just fine and have plenty of toe room. The style was just average but I added some bling to the "N" with sparkly nail polish and put in different shoelaces. I work in a grocery store and am on my feet all day. These shoes are comfy overall but provide no arch support whatsoever. My feet were aching after about 5 hours from toe to heel. I will spend more money and buy some arch supports and see if that helps. If it does then these would be a good shoe. I like the slip resistant tread and I like that they are actually leather shoes, not that cheap mesh stuff that so many shoes are made out of nowadays. I cannot testify to them being comfortable all day long though and that is the sole reason I purchased these shoes. I think I'm on a never-ending pursuit to find that shoe without going broke in the process. The price was reasonable on these if you shop around enough online."

"If you are searching for the perfect work shoe, with total comfort in mind, look no further than the 626. Bartenders, wait staff, custodians...anyone who are on their feet all day, you HAVE to check out this product. Wide size options make it a slam dunk, combined with a non-slip, non-marking sole. Only comes in black and does NOT have a steel toe, but that's OK. Trust me when I say that I've been looking high and low (pretty much for years) for a comfortable, quality-made work shoe, and this really is THE ONE! Finally, you can enjoy your work shift, no matter how much you are "on the move"."

"Great shoe except that compared to the numerous same-size NB cross trainers I have bought, it cramps the toes. My 7.5Ds are too tight so I'm going to order 8D now."

It's lighter than other 620 models.

"Maybe I'll be updating this review in six months after wearing the 626 for awhile. But I wanted to give a review now after noticing something about the 626 immediately opening the box and trying on the shoes. I've been wearing New Balance 620 series shoes for many years. The fact that the latest version 626 is promoted as having some new "slip resistant" feature was unimportant to me. I never regarding my other 620s as having a problem with "slipping." In any event, these 626 are significantly lighter! I noticed this immediately upon taking the shoes out of the box. I weighed the new 626 and the old 622. The 626 weighs 12 oz. a shoe. My current 622s weigh about 13.75 oz each shoe (my scale is a postal balance scale and is not calibrated in more than .5 ounce increments). When I put one 626 on one foot and one 622 on the other, I could feel the difference (but maybe I was tricked because I knew after weighing them that the 626 was lighter than the 622). The exterior is shorter, too! By about a quarter of inch. The exterior width is the same. Both feel the same on the inside, any seeming tightness in the new 626 will surely work out over time. Indeed, they have a removal insole. When the insole is taken out, they are extremely comfortable. I put in its place arch supports that I wear in all my shoes and they fit---to coin a phrase---like a glove. As the photos show on the website, the pattern of the soles is also significantly different on the 626 from other 620s. More like street shoes than athletic shoes. Maybe these shoes are designed not so much for "cross-training" or athletics, as much as there are for working in areas with a lot of grease and oil. Whether any of this will have long term effects on the shoe in terms of durability and long term comfort, I don't know. Stay tuned for an update. I've worn some 620s for up to three years; others less."
