BOSTON, MA, December 29, 1999 - With the introduction of the KJ761, New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. will make a dramatic statement about the need for quality performance athletic shoes for children. The technologically advanced KJ761 features lightweight C-Cap® construction and exposed Abzorb® in the heel, as well as unexposed Abzorb® in the forefoot, and is offered in two widths.
"The KJ761 is ideal for grade-school children in competitive sports," said Assistant Product Manager Kids, Joann Sacca.
With the introduction last year of the KJ801, New Balance launched a line of trail running shoes for children. This fall, the KJ802, the 801's successor will be offered for children in a second exciting color scheme, featuring a black leather/mesh upper with green trim. The KJ802 is almost identical to the technologically advanced adult trail shoe of the same style and is expected to be a favorite with children for back-to-school.
In a follow up to its successful launch of the KJ615 running shoe in 1998, New Balance will be offering the all-new KJ625 this fall. The KJ625, featuring a C-Cap® midsole, is offered in two color-ways, one with a synthetic mesh upper and the other with an all leather upper.
Another new shoe to be offered in the Fall 1999 Kids line, is the KX889 an X-treme cross-training shoe. The KX889 is a direct take-down from the adult shoe, featuring Abzorb® in the rearfoot and Stability Web® in the midsole. The KX889, as well as the adult version, was developed as a direct result of the industry-wide trend toward outdoor and extreme sport influenced product.
The fourth new style, the KX659, will be offered in two color-ways. Another cross-training shoe, the KX659 offers a C-Cap® midsole for cushioning, as well as a heel counter. With four new styles and three new color-ups for the fall, New Balance Kids offers a variety of exciting shoes for back-to-school.
