New Balance Tennis Serves Up an Ace with New Additions for Spring 2003

BOSTON, October 30, 2002 - For Spring 2003, New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. will update its Tennis line with three new models that showcase the brand's comfort technologies and high performance features.

The men's CT751 will update the 750 in January 2003.  Featuring exposed Abzorb® cushioning in the heel and forefoot for maximum shock absorption, a C-Cap® midsole for lightweight cushioning and flexibility, and a guaranteed N-durance™ outsole, the 751 is designed for the player who demands unsurpassed durability and performance with the "best outsole guarantee in the business."  A midcut stability shoe, the 751 also provides a long wear drag tip on the toe for long-lasting protection and a full-grain leather/mesh upper for lightweight comfort and support.

Also in the Stability segment, the CT/WCT651 will update the highly successful men's and women's 650 for January 2003.  The 651 features exposed Abzorb® cushioning in the heel and forefoot for maximum shock absorption, a C-Cap® midsole for lightweight cushioning and flexibility, and a long wear drag tip on the toe for long-lasting protection.  The full-grain leather/mesh upper was redesigned for a clean look that provides lightweight comfort and support, while the guaranteed N-durance™ outsole offers unsurpassed durability.

In the Cushioning segment for March 2003 is the all-new CT/WCT1000.  With innovative Abzorb SBS® cushioning technology for ultimate shock absorption, a C-Cap® midsole for lightweight cushioning and flexibility, and a long-wear drag tip for long-lasting protection, this high performance tennis shoe offers the utmost in cushioning and technology for high performance players.  This versatile shoe, with fast, clean lines also features the Ndurance™ Outsole for unsurpassed durability while the shoe's synthetic/mesh upper provides natural comfort and breathability.
