BOSTON, October 23, 2003 – New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. announced today that it will team with the Yacht Club of Greece for the company's hospitality venue in Athens during the 2004 Olympic Games.

The Yacht Club was established in 1933 by a group of prominent Athenians under the original name of Yacht Club of Athens. The Club, which has 1550 members, is currently under the auspices of the President of the Republic. The aims of the Club include the promotion of sailing in Greece, the training and recreation of its members in yachting activities and the promotion of nautical tourism. Its premises lie in Piraeus Peninsula in the historical military Port of Ancient Athens called Mounichia. The contemporary colloquial name is Microlimano meaning "the small port."
