Texas' Fifth New Balance Store Set to Open in Houston's Fashion Square

BOSTON, March 18, 2004New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of its fifth store in Texas, specializing exclusively in athletic footwear and apparel.  The store is the 106th New Balance concept shop to open in the United States and Canada.

The New Balance Houston store will be located in Fashion Square at 1716 Post Oak Boulevard in Houston, Texas.  The 2,500 square foot store will offer an entire line of New Balance performance footwear specifically designed for athletic activities such as running, cross-training, walking, tennis and basketball. With styles for men, women and kids available in widths ranging from 2A to 6E, the store will also feature a full line of New Balance high-performance apparel and athletic accessories.  The store will carry a full line of Dunham outdoor performance footwear, as well as Aravon® comfort performance footwear.

"I am thrilled to be opening my first New Balance Store in Texas," says store owner Jim Braden.  "New Balance is a well-known high performance athletic brand that offers a variety of widths to fit all of our customers."

Braden has owned and operated Fleet Feet Sports in the Houston area since 1987.  Fleet Feet Sports is a running and walking specialty franchise with three locations in Houston, specializing in a high level of customer service for a consumer's footwear and apparel needs.

The New Balance Houston store will open in the beginning of April 2004.  They plan to host a grand opening celebration for the public at this time, complete with refreshments, contests and prizes.
