BOSTON, April 27, 2004 – For Fall 2004, New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. is adding to its line of performance apparel for both men and women. This enhanced layering system consists of three Zones – a base, next-to-the-skin layer; a mid, thermal layer; and an outer, barrier layer.
WOMEN
Running
The women's Andele Jacket (WRJ4011) features Bio Therm™, the latest advancement of fabric technology for Fall running. With inspiration from the outdoor market, New Balance modified the fabric, making it more lightweight and breathable, while maintaining great freedom of movement. This allows the runner to eliminate a layer while staying comfortable during cool weather running conditions.
The Andele Jacket, semi-fitted for maximum performance, also features zippered hand and arm pockets suitable for energy gels, credit cards, etc. A vented back allows for increased breathability, 360? reflectivity allows for night running, and contrast top stitching adds style and pop. The Tag Jacket (WRJ4012) features a Teflon coated textured dobby shell fabric making it durable, water-resistant, compactable, and quiet. A convertible jacket/vest with zip-off sleeves, this versatile jacket is suitable for multi-season running. The rear pocket is large enough to stow the zip-off sleeves or other running essentials. The Solano Top (WRT4007), a semi-fitted running top, is constructed from a brushed stretch knit, providing thermal warmth, making it the perfect top for cold winter running. The Long Sleeve Bio Cool™ Top (WRT 4004) features Bio Cool™, an elite fabric designed to ensure the ultimate in moisture management. Lightweight and breathable, the top utilizes an engineered mesh in a method called "body-mapping" or "engineered knitting," such that key sweat zones (where you need additional moisture management and breathability) receive a different mesh treatment. Active Lifestyle
The Active Lifestyle Jacket (WALJ4034) has a flattering front and back princess seamed fit, highlighted by stretch satin binding and invisible flared zip cuffs with a print on cuff back. The Cap Sleeve Tee (WALT4030) is made of 92% nylon and 8% lycra for durability and comfort. The cap sleeve features a mini Mandarin collar, a shaped hem, asymmetric satin tie, and contrast satin binding. Available in three colors for Fall 2004. MSRP = $48.00
The Cargo Capri (WALP4031) features a flat waistband with contrast print on the inside of the waistband, cargo pockets with print under the flaps, satin pull tabs at the pockets, and satin ties which adjust for an open or closed bottom at leg opening. The Andele Vest (MRV4005) is a men's only vest featuring Bio Therm™, the latest advancement of fabric technology for Fall running and textured soft shell fabrics. This vest is semi-fitted which creates an advantage to the athlete with a high aerobic output. The stretch Cruz Top (MRT4005) is a men's only running top. Featuring textured polyester/spandex stretch fabric, this mid-layer running top is ideal for 3 seasons of running. The Triton Jacket (MRJ4001) features a fully seam-sealed, 100% waterproof nylon shell fabric and a polyester mesh lining, making it an especially good choice for foul weather running. Zippered external chest and hand pockets are large enough to stow gels and other running essentials; adjustable waist and wrist closures ensure a custom, comfortable fit; a reflective front zipper and taping allow for night running; and a vented back allows for additional breathability. Tennis
