BOSTON, March 29, 2005 - For Fall 2005, New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. will introduce a line of innovative performance apparel, featuring a variety of new fabric technologies.

Men & Women
The New Balance Overture Jacket is a semi-fitted piece perfect for the performance athlete with a high aerobic output. Composed of Thermacore™ fabric, the Overture Jacket is engineered to move moisture and provide warmth for fast paced activities. The jacket also features a Storm Dry™ stretch fabric on the front and back to ensure wind and water resistance without compromising mobility. Details like reflectivity, thumbholes at the cuffs for extra coverage, and a zippered chest pocket (back pocket on women's model) for accessible storage make this jacket ideal for anyone who is ready to hit the trails or roads. An ergonomically designed collar provides additional neck coverage for added warmth, an EZ-glide strip on the draft flap reduces bulk and prevents the zipper from grabbing fabric, and a wrap-over draft flap at the top of the zipper avoids neck or chin chafing. The all-new Blade Pullover, composed of a featherweight polyester ripstop material, provides wind and water resistance as well as a compactability feature. Also new for Fall 2005, the New Balance Reflective Celsius Tight is composed of a brushed stretch Thermacore™ fabric which provides luxuriously soft warmth and moisture transfer – perfect for cold weather running. It is ideal for winter running because it has a high warmth to weight ratio – meaning that it is more stealth than other tights, but still keeps you as warm. A phantom waistband with a moisture-transfer elastic and an adjustable waist allows for a comfortable, custom fit. Flatlocked stitching, off-set side seams, and a gusseted crotch (in the women's model) all ensure non-chafing comfort. The Sideline Jacket and Sideline Pullover are made of a 600 mm coated shell for water and wind resistance. Both the jacket and pullover features a self correcting, locking full zipper on the jacket and a 10" zipper on the pullover. With a rib knit taping on the front and back shoulders, an embroidered "NB" on the left chest and an embroidered "new balance" on the center back these two pieces have a true team sport look. Composed of Lightening Dry™ cross dyed fabric, the Long Sleeve Circuit Top provides rapid moisture transfer and wicking abilities. The cross dyed fabric is created by weaving two different color threads together, creating a look of depth perception, making it both visually stimulating and highly functional.
