| Other Sports Participated in as a Youngster: | Baseball, Football, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, Diving, and Tennis and Table Tennis (my largest trophy to date is from being the school's ping-pong champion.) I tried about everything and found that track was my best option. Everyone in the 6th grade ran cross-country because it was the only sport offered to boys in the fall. I had more success there than in all the others combined. |

| Why Do You Run? | I want to do things that people thought previously impossible. Also, the excitement of chasing records is what makes training bearable |
| Tips for New Runners: | If you're not having fun, it's not worth the time and effort. Also, you have to make some sacrifices to achieve your goals. |
