KELLY'S STORY - Kelly noticed a lump in December 1997 (one month after completing NY Marathon). She had a lumpectomy in January 1998 followed by chemo and radiation to treat it. One year later everything was done and she was back on the right track again. She continued to run, although not as consistently, during treatment. Nevertheless, she was able to run two more marathons, one in 1999 and one in 2000. Now she focuses on helping the newly-diagnosed get through the same scenarios she did.
