MELISSA'S STORY - Melissa lost her mother to cancer in 2001. Her mother would have been 50 that year. Having taken care of her mother throughout her treatments, it was a very difficult time for Melissa, but it was during this time that she became involved with Komen. She took over responsibility for the SW MI website and was instrumental in getting the working site up and running for our race and our supporters.

Melissa is married with three wonderful children and has also been involved with the Komen Three Day walks.
