The relentless Kimberly.
By: New Balance
Breast cancer affects all of us, young or old. Its events like the Susan G. Komen 3 Day that bring us all together to celebrate courage, drive awareness and raise money for breast cancer research and support programs.
We recently discovered this inspiring post on the Susan G. Komen Blog about a girl named Kimberly, who is part of their Youth Corps program, volunteers ages 10-16 committed to helping out at the 3 Day who must raise a minimum of $500. Kimberly, named after her mother's best friend who passed away from breast cancer, is a devoted participant in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day. Her mom Jennifer describes her as "relentless," given her commitment to help raise money, write letters, and walk this incredible journey. This mother daughter duo is just one example of several people out there who continue to inspire us, day in and day out. Together, we can make a cure happen!
