Survivor: Susan Wong
I have only been a runner since the October, 2006 Albany Komen RFC, which was my first time running in about twenty years. After that, I decided to run for fitness and to have a more positive outlook on life.
I am a twelve year survivor now and running has been very good for me. I went from couch potato to the Boston Marathon in about two and a half years. In 2010, I placed 5th in my age group at the Boston Marathon and 8th in my age group at New York Marathon.
I hope I can inspire younger runners to train and keep fit and other survivors to make the most of each day. I think that New Balance would think those accomplishments would show that I will represent survivor runners and senior female runners well.
