On May 31st, 23,000 runners from around the world will make the journey to Durban, South Africa to run their dream race, the Comrades Marathon. It's a punishing 89km ultramarathon that pushes each runner to go beyond what they believe their bodies are capable of. The race covers 90 km, or 56.1 miles, between the capital of the Kwazulu-Natal Province of South Africa, Pietermaritzburg, and the coastal city of Durban.
