creating Fresh Foam's outsole all starts with the software.

    ESPN’S “PLAYING WITH FRESH FOAM”

Training is hard, but Fresh Foam is soft—unabashedly so. Watch ESPN’s Kenny Mayne get together with Team NB’s Jenny Simpson and Dustin Pedroia for a day of off-season training. Hilarity ensues when they switch sports and step into new shoes.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

We surprised runners across the country and collected feedback. Their responses were equally as surprising.

"I have been running in the Saucony Kinvara and Adidas Boston for years. When I went to my local running shop to get a fresh pair of both shoes the New Balance Fresh Foam caught my eye. When I asked the representative about the features of the shoe I was very impressed to find out about the same heel toe offset as the Kinvara and the shoe offered a bit more cushioning than the Boston, but the same firm feeling. After training in the shoe a few times I fell in love. Not only is the shoe substantial enough to use on my long runs but the low offset allows me to do tempo runs in."

"This is the worst running shoe I have ever used. Not flexible and very poor on the cushioning scale. Don't waste money on this shoe. Your more than likely to develop an injury with this shoe. My lower legs always were a little sore after running in them. I gave this shoe more time than I should have hoping it would break in a little. It just does not fit the NB standard."

"Out of the box I ran a 10k then the three day Ragner relay. No blisters and the best times that I have ever ran. Great shoes if your not a heavy guy, comfortable and light. Just bought a second pair for the shelf why the first pair wear out! Great shoes and I honeslty thought they would fall apart quickly."

"long time NB user. i feel like i've tried every Cushioned shoe made in a 10 2E. was excited when i saw the fresh-foams 'cause i can't fit the Hokas. no clue what NB did with the fit on these. a 10 2E was no where near right. i understand the lower instep could make the width seem narrower but even the length was off. very odd. so, i never got to try them. bummer. size appropriate or temper your expectations. "Not only did I do most of my cross fit training in this shoe I also ran the spartan and cmc in the same pair! They functioned well, held up to nonstop abuse and are extremely comfortable. I am now onto my second pair as the first pair earned their retirement. My single complant is that they are not Made In The USA."
