"These shoes rival the 574's in style and comfort. In fact I may go as far as to say they're the most comfortable shoe NB makes."

"These are about the best trail shoe I have owned. Very sturdy, good grip and comfortable. The 2E size fits good as does the size 11. Only down is the length of the laces, way too long."

"These shoes are great, but they run really small. My husband wears 9 1/2, but I got him a 10. It was really small, and not by just a little. I have reordered an 11."

"I like the fit and feel of the shoe. It is not too snug and is not overly cushioned for my personal tastes. I've ran in them on very hard, frozen trail and it's a little less suitable for that kind of environment. I think it would be better suited as a summer shoe where the ground is a little softer, or even sloppy/muddy. It's mildly aggressive, yet not bothersome when running on pavement for short stretches. Overall, I like the shoe and I suspect I'll like it even more as the weather turns more favorable."

"The shoes are the bomb! The shoes are a bit wider in the 4e than originally expected. 2e didn't fit. Maybe after a few runs the 2e would have been better."

"Comfortable fit, good traction. I haven't tested it yet on extremely muddy or snowy surfaces, but it works well for general trail conditions."

"this is my third pair of leadville shoes and I'm a big fan. this year i've run the rocky raccoon 100, cruel jewel 100 and pinhoti 100. all with leadviille's almost right out of the box. that just work for me in terms of size, comfort, ability to handle some road if necessary. my only minor complaint is that i think this one had some kind of new lace that was much more likely to come untied so i'll probably switch out some of the old ones in the new shoes."

    Big Shoe with Big Stability

"I bought the Leadvillev3 to serve as my main trail shoe for the fall 16 race season. I ran through a pair of Boracay road shoes, and recently replaced those with Vazee v2 Breathes. While I like those shoes alright, they're a little light on stability and I pronate a bit. After runs of 5-7 miles, I was feeling a twinge of ankle pain from the roll. I bought these and proceeded to put about 25-30 miles on them over a two week period. The shoe runs large. Noticeably larger than any other NB shoe I've ever worn. So large, in fact, that I checked and rechecked the size to ensure I'd purchased a 14D and not a 15 or a 14EE. I had to lace up as tight as possible and wear thick socks. With that, the shoes were manageable. They're a bit heavy, but well cushioned and tough. Some nice lugs on the tread for aggressive trail, but an interior that would cause concerns of soaking up water on wet trail. I found the stability features to be a little bit too much for me, but that's a foot and stroke issue. If you have arches and pronate and need and are used to a stability shoe, this is a killer, well cushioned trail shoe. I have a flat foot, neutral mid foot stroke, with some pronation. These caused a little IT band pressure and hip discomfort. Haven't had it since I switched, or with any non-stability shoe."

"Fantastic shoes. I'm a big guy so my feet take a real beating especially in the trails but with the firm fit and rugged build of the Leadville's my feet come out of the woods smelling like a rose. Well that may be an exageration but my feet don't hurt. The Vibram sole provides the grip needed for rocks roots and rubble so I can besure not to slip. The colors are fun and my kids aren't embarrassed by my white or grey grandpa shoes. I am on pair 3 and will continue to cycle more in as long as they are available."

"Excellent shoe used for 6.5-9.5 miles of aggressive walking on roads daily. They last ~200 miles. My only complaint is that the eyelets do not easily allow the laces to be pulled through making it hard to lace up the shoes. I'm on my second pair and will probably continue with Leadvilles until they stop making them. They are very comfortable for walking; I can't run anymore due to back problems."

    Size was incorrect.

    - Boyne City, MI

"Ordered size 11 2E, same as my other NB shoes, and others. These were short, definitely not size 11. Matched them to my other size 11 shoes and they were shorter, more like a 10.5. Width was OK, the length was not, had to return them."

    Great style, comfortable fit.

    - Bridgton, ME

"Having suffered through a spell of plantar fasciitis and finally getting right, I can say these shoes look great, give support in the right places and are well cushioned for comfort. I will buy again."

    fantastic support

    - Miami, FL

"i am very impressed with this shoe, it is the perfect balance of light for training and sturdy for great support and very stylish in green and black, this shoe is also good for trail walking/running with a very nice sole, only con is that it does seem to run a little big, so depending on your experience with new balance a half size lower than your usual might be best, strongly recommend overall"

    Love the colours.

    - 44120

"This shoe runs just the right width. The color combination is the reason I picked this particular shoe, but I love the comfort in all of the high level running shoes."

Design changed from last year, doesn't fit the same

    - United States

"The pair of Leadvilles I bought last year are my absolute favorite trail running shoe ever - sadly, the design has been changed in less than one year, and the same size and width that I ordered as a replacement does not fit the same, with bunching up of the top material above the toe box. Closer inspection shows that last years model had a sheath at the toe box where the laces pass through while this years model doesn't - perhaps that leads to the bunching? Unfortunately I had to return them and now have to start over finding new favorite trail running shoe."

    my go to ultra shoe

    - Nashville, TN, USA

"this is my second par of leadville v3 in six months.I wore the first pair for the Rocky Raccoon 100 in Feb 2016 and wound up w my second best time ever at that distance, running 23 hours. Lack of foot issues was a big part of that and i credit the shoes. smooth, comfortable, perfect. I just completed the Cruel Jewel 100 (actually 106) and went back to this shoe and it was definitely the right choice. I did have some blister issues, caused by socks, because there was so much elevation change (33k of up and 33k of down) but the shoes were definitely the right call. Im a huge fan and will be back for more!"

Excellent shoes, great fit, very comfortable

    - Eastern Oregon

"The Leadville V3 are very comfortable. I have a wide foot and New Balance always fits me best. I take them out of the box and start wearing them for long runs and walks and they are just plain comfortable."

    Good running shoe!

    - Asheville, NC, USA

"I have almost exclusively used NB for my running shoes the past few years. I have already logged about 30 miles on these and they are super comfortable. I happen to wear a 13 4E wide shoe which usually limits me in the style I can get, but NB is getting better about available sizes. It will take a lot to make me even thing about switching away to a different brand of running shoe. :)"

    great fit and comfortable

    - Fort Wayne, IN, USA

"I love these shoes! I have used them at work (Nursing home) as well as walking, aerobic exercise, and running and they are great for all. I have very wide feet and hate wearing socks and/or shoes. The light thin fabric is wonderful and feels like a stretchy glove. The only thing I would change is a slightly roomier toe area."

    Love these shoes!

    - Middle Georgia

"I've purchased these shoes for myself in both the red and lime green colors. And I love them so much for their comfort style and durability that I know NEW BALANCE has built into them, that I purchased a pair for my hubby and I'm planning to buy him a pair of the lime green version also.....Love these shoes seems like an understatement...I'm crazy about these shoes."

    Stable, true to size

    - Terre Haute, IN, USA

"I found the Leadville to be true to size for a trail shoe. I have only logged 15 miles in them over two runs. The 8mm rise in the heel is spot on and feels quite stable. The 4E width has ample space in toe box. The shoe handles well on packed dirt, gravel, and rocky terrain. I have not had them in muddy conditions yet. I really like this shoe and ordered a second pair for ultra races this year."

    Great Trail Shoe

    - Colorado, USA

"I've owned all three versions of the Leadvilles and have loved all of them, this version being my favorite so far. The v3's are a little lighter than the v2's and I feel like maybe a little bit more noticeable stability. I run 30+ miles a week and these are great for the longer (and shorter runs). Unless you're running extreme distances where your foot might swell a lot, I would recommend going down a half size (I normally wear a 9.5 and I got these in a 9). I go pretty rough on my trail shoes and these are lasting really well, very durable. Highly recommended."
