"Best walking shoe I've ever had. Very comfortable. Ready for a long walk right out of the box. No break-in necessary."

"The 928 heel is hard as concrete. Walking any distance produces sore heels. The shoe will not break in. Just can not use the shoe and must go back to old and worn 927's. New Balance should bring back the 927 or better yet the 926."

"This review deals specifically with the white mesh version of the 928. The mesh and fabric underneath is a dirt magnet and impossible to keep looking nice. It stains and discolors easily. And after five months of wear I've had to Shoo-Glu both toe pieces. Stick with the leather version."
