"The shoe does run narrow but that wasn't my biggest issue. New balance did not add the center loop on the tongue to put the laces through, which caused it to slide down my foot and have the laces rubbing on top of my ankles. I see that some of the other new models are like that too which is disappointing because they used to always have them."

"Pros: Design, traction, available in widths. Cons: Narrow toe box. I end up with bad big toe pain after every game that lasts for a couple days, then gets better, then gets reinjured game day. A bad cycle. I even ordered these in 2E width, but the toe box is super narrow. Also, the tongue is starting to rip apart from the shoe just 8 games in. I have last year's version of the 4040DP's (Pedroia's) and they were the most comfortable cleats ever. However, my league doesn't allow metal cleats, so I had to switch to these. Thinking about trying to sneak my Pedroia's back into the game. If your league allows metal cleats, go with the Pedroia's!"
