The Minimus 10v2 Trail is designed for runners who like to take the trail by the horns. The most virtually barefoot New Balance trail shoe yet, it supports a natural foot positioning and multi-directional traction with flexible overlays, a fitted mesh upper and a rugged Vibram® outsole. You will literally feel every contour of the trail beneath your feet as you go, giving you the ability to push yourself harder than ever before.

    This shoe runs short!!

"This shoe runs small. I was aiming for extra toe room for socks but after ordering a half size up it was still too short (shoe actually touching my toes), so if you want that extra toe room, you might want to order a size and a half or even 2 full sizes up. Having said that, the shoe is soooo beautiful. GREAT colors!"

Great fit aside from a hot spot in the right shoe.

"I went from the Zero to this and love the fit of this shoe. But, one shoe has a hot spot in at the ball of the foot that can be very bothersome. I didn't notice it on shorter runs when I first got them; but later found out anytime I go over 3 miles I end up with a bruise where the stitching is messed up. I'd love to rate them better and I am tempted to try another pair but find it's hard to return shoes after running 3 miles in them.... so I'm stuck with a shoe that is good for short runs and that's it."

"I loved running and hiking in this shoe, very comfortable. However, the toe design is terrible. The sole tip that comes up over the toe keeps coming separated from the fabric and leaves a big gap. I see that another reviewer had this same problem and I am wondering if any others have too. Its disappointing because I love NB and have run in their shoes for years. I hope in next years design this is addressed. If so I might consider rebuying, if not I will not get these shoes again."

"I was having a really hard time finding shoes that did not give me black toe nails... But the wide toe space in these shoes and size up a size and a half has solved this problem. These shoes are super comfortable, and have worked lovely for me for my 5-7 mile runs. I am a huge fan of minimalist shoes and I don't wear anything else."
