  • Minimus is a whole new approach to footwear, a new place on the spectrum from barefoot running to the traditional maximum-cushioning running shoe. Inspired by Good Form Running and designed to be worn with or without socks. With only a 4mm drop* from heel to toe, as little as a third of that of a traditional running shoe, the Minimus collection holds a world of discovery for neutral runners as well as those with gait issues or chronic injury to conquer by learning better form.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I workout 7 days a week with running, boxing, TRX, and functional movement classes. These shoes provide phenomenal lateral support that I need. My foot stays put in the shoe and feels supported without feeling suffocated. I also run a few miles per week in them and they feel great! I have very wide feet and I'm not spilling over as I do in most other brands. These shoes needed little to no break-in time - I wore them the first week for a Sprint Triathlon. I wish they would come in more colors as I'm ready for a new pair!! Thanks New Balance!"

    Upper Comes Unglued

October 20, 2013 by | Champaign, IL, USA

"I purchased these shoes less than 5 months ago, and have only been wearing them for about the last 3 months on a consistent basis after gradually getting used to the minimus style. After two months of wear 3-4 times a week for an hour, the upper solid fabric is coming unglued from the mesh all along the inside next to the sole of one of the shoes (basically everything forward of where it says New Balance). For the price paid, I expected a much longer usage out of these. It's very disappointing that the quality isn't there in the manufacture of these shoes because otherwise I would be ecstatically recommending these for cross training use."
