    AMAZING shoe!

"This shoe is great. I primarily lift and participate in Crossfit-like activities, which frequently involve short runs, so I need a shoe that is low to the ground, yet with enough support for road runs. I've tried many shoes over the past couple of years, but this model has been a life saver, if a shoe can save a life.... Which makes it all the more disappointing that New Balance hasn't released additional colors or re-stocked their sizes in months. I really really do not want to go back to shopping your competitors, but at this rate, you're forcing my hand! PLEASE help me out here!"

Good product but version 1 was better!

"I made the switch to a more natural way of running in 2010 and haven't looked back since. I used to get stress fractures at least once a year, but haven't had a single one since. The key was to transition very slowly and hold myself back even though running felt amazing. The New Balance Minimus WR00 (version 1) was my first minimalist shoe and I absolutely loved it! I went through 4 pairs before the first version got discontinued, and have since been running in version 2. Although version 2 is pretty good, the first version was significantly better. I loved the comfort and flexibility of the mesh upper, which has since been replaced by the less comfortable and stiff synthetic upper. I do still love the original soles, so I hope those stay the same. If the Product Development team reads these reviews: please, please consider bringing back the original upper material to this shoe. I know that people complained about its durability; however, I think getting 4-6+ months of wear out of a shoe is normal. From what I have read on other websites, others would agree that the first version was a better product. I hope you guys keep making zero drop minimalist shoes because it's been the best shoe I've tried and I have spent a lot of time and money looking for minimalist shoes that work."

    Great running shoes

    3/1/15 by | Gainesville, FL

    • Used Product For: 8 or more weeks

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I love this shoe. Definitely start use slowly if you haven't run in minimalist before; your calves and feet will be sore. But once you get going they are great shoes and last a long time. I have been doing all my mileage of 40-50 miles a week in them, including 15+ mile long runs. Wide toe box is comfortable, but they are also light and snug. Did get blister above heel at first, but they are broken in now and I make sure to wear socks high enough. If you have good form, and build up slowly or are already used to minimalist, then these are good shoes for any mileage. Would also serve well just as racing flats."

Great fit, wider toe box than version one

1/21/15 by | Little Rock, AR

    • Used Product For: 8 or more weeks
    • Miles with Product: 20+ miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 16-20 miles
    • Primary Activity: Running

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I bought these when they stopped making version one of the Zero, which was my first barefoot style running shoe. The middle, arch area, is a bit more snug than version one but the toe box is a tad bigger... which I find is an improvement over version 1. I love the burrito style tongue that makes them very easy to put on. They stay comfortable on longer (9+ miles) runs, even with foot fall variations and stride changes."

Great lightweight shoe, but tight fit.

    10/6/14 by | Massachusetts

    • Used Product For: less than 2 weeks

"This shoe is very lightweight and attractive, but it was too tight across the middle of my foot. I ordered a wide fit, but either the shoe runs too small or the flap that takes the place of the tongue isn't long enough so it barely covered the opening on the top of my foot. I had to return them."
