"I have bad bunions and have great difficulty finding tennis shoes that don't make the bunions hurt. I've been wearing these for about 6 months and find them very comfortable. The soles are starting to wear from heavy use and I plan to order the same pair again."

    D width is too narrow

November 21, 2013 by | San Diego, CA, USA

"I have purchased the 1004 D width for years and fit perfectly. When they discontinued 1004 I purchased the 1005 D width. It is more narrow than 1004 D and can't wear it. I talked with a supervisor and she told me I could wear a men's 1005 in 2E that it is 1/2 wider; so ordered that. It was same width as women's 1005D and thus too narrow for my foot. I then ordered the men's 4E and it fits like my women's 1004 D did. However the heel is wider and is stiffer than the women 1004 and takes time to break in. I am very disappointed with NB making their shoes more narrow as they are one of the only companies that make tennis shoes in wide widths. For whatever reason they have chosen to change that so that women with wide feet cannot buy women's shoes."

worse than previous versions of same shoe

    November 18, 2013 by | Tennessee

"I have been buying this court shoe series for over 10 years. This 1005 model is NOT an improvement! It feels like I am coming out of the shoe. Maybe the profile around the ankle is lower or weaker. Or maybe it's because the anchor at the toe end of the laces has been eliminated. Also, the rubber on the top of the toe drag has been reduced giving less protection. I don't like this model."
