    What a disappointment

"Why can't shoe companies leave well enough alone? The 1005 was my favorite tennis shoe in a very long time. Roomy toe box, good fit in the heel, lots of cushioning. Of course, 2 months after getting my first pair I tried to get a second and they were discontinued, replaced by the 1006. This shoe is so narrow I can barely get my foot in it without a sock on. The toe box is very shallow, leaving little room for your toes and the shoe is much shorter than the 1005. Can't tell about the cushioning because I am so distracted by how much they squeeze my feet that I can't wear them long enough to tell if they are cushioned. I guess I have to search for a shoe again."

Much smaller and less comfortable than the 1005!

"At least a half sizer smaller and more narrow than the 1005. I bought the same size and D (wide) width as I wore in the previous incarnation of this shoe and after wearing them two times realize there's no way I can fit into these shoes and play tennis. The padding around the ankle is overdone, too. Darn. The 1005 was great."

Great shoe for Zumba and other gym activities

    - Raleigh, NC, USA

"These shoes are great for Zumba. I spend 5 hours a week in the gym and these shoes are so much more versatile than a running shoe which tends to grip the floor. Plus they are available in narrow. From now on it is court shoes for me!"

    Nice, comfortable court shoe.

    - San Diego, CA, USA

"Nice, comfortable shoes. I have the wide shoes which provide plenty of room in the toe box."

    Great customer service and fit

    - Dillon CO

"This was a warranty purchase as my prior shoes wore through the sole. New Balance sent me a voucher to use on any tennis shoes on their website. I ordered a shoe I hoped I would like and it turned out to be a better fit and better shoe than the one I replaced. The customer service could not have been better."
