"I love NB and the 1080 line, but these V4's are a complete miss. I bought 2 pair full price trusting the heritage of the V2 and V3, but the forefoot mistake and toe overlay issue makes these unusable as actual running shoes. I HOPE they get this fixed by V5 - I view my 2 pair of V4's as a sneaker only."

"I havei worn New Balance for five years. I do appreciate how you make wide true 4e widths. I wore the V2s and then the V3s. I finally got a pair of V4s and was very disappointed. The forefoot cushion is unnatural and really does not supply much cushion. The shoes are not conducive to the midfoot strike I have been trying to develop. I like my V4s enough to wear them day to day, but now have made the switch to Altras. The Altras are designed for midfoot running and I am using a model with cushioning. Maybe you will fix with the V5s."

"I was disappointed by this shoes. After two months of use, the upper left and right side are ripping (slit). I owned version 2 and 3 and i have not experience this setback. I think you have to re-check the materials used on this version. I love 2nd and third version because its a great running shoes. But was really disappointed by this shoe because its your 4th version, its undestandable if its your first or second but fourth!!"

"Bought a pair in the Boston store and have run less than 200 miles in them in 2 months and the mesh is ripping on top, at the sides. The now look like an old pair of tattered shows. Very disappointing shoes."

"I've used 1080 v1 thru v3 and loved them. This new design is awful - its like a completely different shoe. I was getting blisters on the tops of my toes caused by the shoe bending in a weird location. Please bring back the v3 or make a v5 !!!!!!!"
