"First, one of the few NB shoes that actually fit me correctly (out of a zillion combinations.) I wear a 13 4E (but I'm not a large runner, 6'2", 192 lbs., I just have a wide foot.) Here are my criticisms. One, the tongues in both shoes slide outward when running. They don't stay centered in the shoe. Regardless of how they are laced, the tongues turn outward facing the outside of the shoe. Two, I never lace to the last eyelet, but I did to try and prevent this, but to no avail. I never lace my running shoes that high. And, the tongue is a little short as well. Speaking of lacing, I had to replace the original laces as they are WAAY too long. I guess NB expects runners to triple tie their laces (I had to do the same in my Leadville trail running shoes, too.) If tied just once, the excess lace hangs down to the midsole. Wear. This is the really big issue. I've had these shoes about 2 weeks and they are already showing tread wear. Seriously. I've run maybe 20 miles on the street and 5 hours on the treadmill and I can see wear. Absolutely ridiculous. As I said earlier, I'm not a big runner either. When I get a new pair of shoes, I usually mark the bottoms with a Sharpie to keep track of shoes in my rotation. Yea, I marked these before I gave them a once over. What a mistake. Can't send them back to the retailer. I do think that New Balance should refund my purchase price, though. Since these obviously don't work, this leaves me with a few choices for a stability shoe available with an extra wide width: Nike Structure; Brooks Adrenaline GTS; and a couple of Asics models. I will say I've been pleased with the few NB running clothes I've bought, but I'll never buy NB shoes again."
