"I have been a staunch supporter of New Balance due to their recognition of those of us who wear the very narrow or wide shoes by providing the great colors/ styles. With most brands, you are stuck with one color. In my mind, that was where New Balance was set apart from the other brands….until now. I have worn the various versions of the 1260 for several years now. For variety, I would purchase two pair at a time in different colors. When I saw a preview of the V5, I was excited for the bold colors. You can imagine my disappointment when I found that I was stuck with the blue/grey in a 2A. I hope you will reconsider this line of marketing when you start developing your V6. Many people have complimented me on my shoes due to their color and style."

    • Miles with Product: 0-5 miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 20+ miles

"I purchased these shoes because I had worn out my V4. Shoe hurt my feet. The shoes felt oK until I took them off and could barely walk. I run almost 30 miles per week. These shoes were a big disappointment and departure fron design."

    WONDERFUL Stability Shoe

    8/4/15 by | Southern California

    • Used Product For: less than 2 weeks
    • Miles with Product: 6-10 miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 20+ miles
    • Primary Activity: Running

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"This is my first New Balance Running Shoe. I run 25+ miles a week, on pavement & hilly trails. I am 5'7 about 108lbs and have very small weak ankles. Backstory: Have been through one ankle reconstructive surgery after years of soccer injuries and have Fibromyalgia which causes horrific pain in my feet. I am a total Asics lover. But after my Asics got worn down, I decided I was going to purchase 3 different brands of running shoes to interchange throughout my runs. I bought the Asics Kayano, Brooks Adrenaline GTS & these. I have to say that these are my favorite out of the three. The only reason it got 4 stars and not 5 is because they are a little heavy. The Asics and Brooks are about 8OZ and these 10OZ. Yes, I can feel the difference in my run. These keep my ankle where they need to be and control my over pronation very well. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who over pronates and has weak ankles or chronic feet pain."
