Very comfortable but a little loose on the sides

"I'm very happy with it and I only use it for short treadmill running. the only problem you feel your feet coming out around the sides. I can actually pull the sneaker off when the laces are tied; wear thicker socks to compensate for this"

"Like the shoes. Very comfortable but they seem to squeak a lot. Pretty much every step. Otherwise happy with product."

"I live in Cuenca, EC -- so getting shoes is a chore. Early this fall my knees were killing me. I realized that both pairs of my old shoes had 500+'miles on them. A friend brought a pair of 1260 v6 for me. Pain gone. Did not order 1/2 size up, D width, comfortable. Last set of lace hole allows me to snugly tighten for my smaller foot. I now have four pairs, so when I hit 1000 miles again -- backup plan is in place."

"I have been buying the 1280 since version 2. There were my favorite shoe. So much so I bough 2 pair last year. This years version seems wider in the toe box area and doesn't seem to have the same cushion. So I had to prove it and pulled out one of last years shoes and have done two five miles runs in the last two days. So I have a pair I bought a couple of months ago I walk in and a pair that was just given to me. I need to take the new pair back and exchange for something else. How well does the 1080 compare?"

    Good running shoe made uncomfortable

    - Woodbury, MN

"I'm not sure whose idea it was to make the tongue longer and attach a stiff plastic tag to it. The binding effect on my instep makes it unwearable."

"I bought two pair of the NB 1260v6. I have a wide foot and have trouble fitting a comfortable running shoe. These were perfect and just right for my purposes. I know now that in the future all of my athletic shoes will be New Balance."

Sweet Six: New 1260 is a winner!

    - Philadelphia, PA

"I'm hooked on the 1260 and have owned at least one pair of each of the previous five versions. This one surpasses the others in comfort while maintaining the stability it has long been known for. Sweet ride!"

    Enjoying the 1260

"I've run on New Balance for many years. The last two pair of NBs I used were 940s. But because of age (60+) and changes in my stride, I've noticed that the 940s tended to cause my foot to roll a bit too much to the outside. So I decided to try the 1260v6 and have thoroughly enjoyed the stable, well-cushioned, snug feel of each foot-fall. I'd recommend this shoe to anyone who desires some correction for over-pronation, but not too much correction. The shoe is a bit heavy, but overall I think that I've found that this shoe strikes a balance between correction for some over-pronation and a shoe that provides stable cushioning. Well done, NB!"

    Great Update from Previous Version

    - Honolulu, HI

"This is a great update from version 5. Better cushioning so don't feel like my feet are directly on the pavement and a more supportive fit. They also worked on and just about solved the worse issue with version 5 which was twisted laces."

    LOVE IT

    - Texas

"I've been running a while, but I wasn't serious about it until a couple of weeks ago and I had been using just regular Nike Free Runs, and I was told by my friend to spend good money on a good shoe, so that's what I did. Needless to say, I'm GLAD I spent the money on these shoes, I noticed I wasnt a severe pronator, but it was definitely there... the first minute I put these shoes on to run, I knew they were going to get a lot of miles on them, they literally feel amazing, I would explain it as "running on clouds" per say, it's simply an amazing shoe, with TONS of stability, and my pronation is no longer an issue, now when I run and look at my shoes after, it's all a midline strike, I simply love it, I'm working up to a 10 K which for most runners isn't a big deal, but I'm new, and will most definitely be using these shoes come race day, they are the best! Also, the yellow color I didn't think I would like, but it's actually quite nice, it's a "highliter" yellow color and the contrast with the grey just brings it out, definitely an eye catcher! They are slightly heavy, but then again I was running in Free Runs..... but I'll sacrifice weight for the support that will push me through a race anyday!!"

    Great shoe for the overpronator!

    - Brownsville TX

"Such a comfortable fit! I'm amazed how light these shoes are for the moderate/severe overpronator such as myself. It has just the right amount of cushion and stability for my foot and quite frankly I could jog for miles in them! I didn't have the previous version 1260 V5 so I can't compare but they feel as comfortable or even more comfortable than my Asics Gel Foundations. One more thing. If you all can shave a few ounces off on the next model, that would be awesome! Thank you New Balance, you hit a home run on this shoe!"
