"I've been buying New Balance shoes for at least 10 years specifically because they have been comfortable and widely available in a wide version in my size. My previous shoes were 608's and then 608v2's. Both of the previous versions of this shoe -- and the other model number predating the 608 -- fit great. These version 3's are horribly tight just behind the toe box, especially in my EEEE-width left foot. The shoe is so tight, that the stitching on the inside of the foot, cuts through the shoe padding and my socks into my foot. I expect new athletic shoes to be a snug fit until they are broken in. That was the case with the 608v2, but these things dug into my foot so badly that after 10 minutes I had to take them off. This was also earlier in the morning, so it was not a case where my feet were swollen. I'm not specifically sure what has changed. Maybe these new v3's are made on a different form. Whatever the reason, I'm unlikely to ever buy again."
