"This is the third pair of this style shoe I've had. I bought the first pair which was replaced by NB due to seam separation on the sole after less than a year with another 600 series shoe. It lasted less than 8 months and suffered seam separation by, you guessed it, glue failure. Replaced again with the 624 shoe and I noticed tonight, December 20, 2014, the heel, left shoe is seperating from the body of the body. As far as I'm concerned NB couldn't send me a shoe for every month and I wouldn't be happy. I'm done with them as much as I like the product I just don't like the daily rate I've had. So long NB."

"I felt that my last pair was shorter in length than my previous pair. I also feel quality has slipped a bit. The stitching on the side where my small toe exerts pressure has worn loose. Probably have 200 miles on the shoes and they are 12 months old. I wish they had a little more cushion and more arch support so that I would not have to put arch support in them."

"Maybe I am just lucky but my black 624's have held up very well. I do not run at this time but walk the dog several times a day. I have none of the problems mentioned by other reviews."

    Shoe is falling apart

"I have been purchasing New Balance Shoes for approximately 15 years. I have always been pleased with their product, until now. The Shoes I currently own, are falling apart in several ways. The rubber on the heel is separating, and I have a flap hanging when I walk. The soles are falling off of the shoes body. I have owned these for an extended time period, however, I only wear them in the Summer months, and I only when I walk for health. The soles and shoe body show very little wear, and look new at first glance. I believe something may have went wrong in the assembly process, and want to continue wearing New Balance, however I am now considering trying perhaps another brand, as I have read other reviews indicating similar issues, and perhaps it is the quality and manufacturing process that is now suffering. Sad and undecided at this point"

How long do you want to use these shoes?

"I too am frustrated with NB changing the styles I like with other styles they say are comparable. I bought a new pair of 624's back in June 2014. It is now November 2014 and these suckers are worn out. I am used to my NB's lasting at least a year. The soles are starting to separate from the base of the shoe and the inner cloth is totally warn out. There is the normal wear on the soles I would expect from any shoe... Sole is warn at the toe and heal. I have run/walked in these for at least 300 miles. I have been only using them for workouts. I bought them for the cost. I have read that if you use your shoes for the sole purpose of running and power walking that you should expect them only to last 6 months. I was hoping to have these last for at least 6 months but looks like I will be searching for another pair."
