Looked for a 4 E width previously 100% successful with a different shoe: This one just not the same. So sorry.

    - FL

"This model just not make the grade as others have."

    Wow

    - Eureka, CA

"I have been a huge devotee of NB 336 size 7D for years. They were stable and lasted well. When they went out of production, I bought ten pair and put them away so I would have them. Alas and alack, I went through all of them, and had to call the New Balance Customer Service Center for a replacement recommendation. And they recommended 624. I had injured my hip, and with the 336 shoes, I could get around, but was always slightly uncomfortable, taking nine ibuprofen per day. Since I have donned the 624's, the ibuprofen is down to two per day, AND I am back to doing step aerobics. At 55, I thought my step was put away for good. I am LOVING these shoes. Stable, cushioning, impact absorption. Thank you New Balance for taking some of the pain out of my day!"

First time buying New Balance 624

    - CA

"I was very happy with New Balance 624. It was a true 6.5. I would like it to have a bit thicker sole. But I will buy a 624 again. I wear them for Zumba and 3 mile walks daily."

If you are looking for a wide shoe, the 624 is not the shoe for you.

    - Austin, TX, USA

"I have purchased the same New Balance shoes (620 and then, the 623) for over 10 years. However, they discontinued them so I had to purchase the 624. I purchased it in the same size and wide width. I played one tennis match and it caused blisters on both the inside and outside area near my toes due to being too narrow. If you have wide feet, do not buy this product or buy it in a size bigger."

Very happy with my 624's !

    - Reading, PA, USA

"I am so pleased with my New Balance 624's. They are the lightest and most comfortable sport shoe I have ever worn. I got the women's wide because I like to wear thick socks and the fit is perfect ! They seem to be very durable, which makes me very happy as I walk many miles per week. Will surely buy them again and again !"

THE ONLY SHOE THAT FITS MY ORTHOTIC COMFORTABLY

    - Philadelphia, PA, USA

"I have been wearing this athletic shoe for years. The number keeps changing, but I keep track of it. I wear these shoes all day/every day. I purchase a new pair every 6 months."

I had to return this purchases because the back of the heel is designed too low.

    - Colorado, USA

"I had to return this purchase because the back of the heel is designed too low. My her slips out when doing lunges or push ups."

    Mar 30, 2016

    Too stiff

    - CT

"Nice quality, but not flexible enough. I purchased these for cross training and working out at the gym. Couldn't even do a proper "lunge" as the toe box wouldn't bend. I returned them."

    Quality strong materials

    - San Juan, San Juan, Puerto Rico

"Narrow size available online is important for me . Too few vendors don't make narrow."

    Mar 9, 2016

    with reservations

    - Raleigh, NC, USA

"I bought these shoes in an e width and while the width at the widest point of my foot is great the width for my toes is a little small. I am wearing them, hoping the leather gives enough. I do have a wide foot and my toes match my foot. I cannot recommend for anyone unless they have tapered toes. The quality of the shoe is excellent which is why I am hopeful."

smaller than previous models - made on the cheap??

    - New England

"I've bought this model several times in the past years but this year's model was too small, and so uncomfortable - unacceptable."

Very comfortable shoes that support you feet and back.

    - Hobart, IN, USA

"Very pleased with the whole process of online ordering."

    Wouldn't buy these again

    - Tucson, AZ, USA

"These shoes squeak. I wore NB for years but can't get used to the noise these make when I walk. Probably too late to return them. Very unhappy with them."

    Good shoes

    - Dayton, VA

"When the shoes first arrived a substance was on the bottom that made a noise when I walked. It has evidently worn off. Shoes are comfortable."

    well worth the money

    - Memphis, IN 47143, USA

"i stand a hard floor at work ... i have been very happy with NB one pair normally last a year for the price they have been well worth the money"

    Dec 30, 2015

These shoes were too narrow. Usually I can count on New Balance 2E to be absolutely ok. This time I can't wear them.

    - New Hampshire

"Shoes were way too narrow - didn't seem like 2E at all."

    Dec 23, 2015

    Great Athletic Shoe!

    - Oregon City, Oregon

"I love this shoe. Great for people with sensitive feet or flat arches as the popular thinner soled athletic shoes don't work well."

    Dec 22, 2015

    Great Stability and Support

    - Morris, IL 60450, USA

"Toe box tends to run narrow on this style. I'm normally a 2E width, but had to return and get a 4E this time! Great cushioning and stability . . . but for those of us with the extra wide feet, I wish NB would provide a few more "cute" style choices for us cross-trainers!"

    Dec 21, 2015

    Everything went perfectly!!!

    - Jupiter

"New Balance has been the only shoe for me for over 15 years, and I see no reason to change, And now, ordering direct, makes it so much easier and as reliable as ever, if not more so! I wear the 624 white everyday for work and love it. I also have a 626 black that I wear. Both are superb! Love my New Balance!!!"

    Dec 16, 2015

    Bad shoe

    - Annapolis, MD

"The shoe had a manufacturing date of April, 2014. The sole was hard and did not bend. Was this because of the age of shoe or just a bad product? Returned shoes and tried another style."

    Dec 11, 2015

    Great Sneaker

    - Waterbury, CT

"My podiatrist recommends New Balance. These sneakers are leather and will last me a long time."

    Dec 2, 2015

A very solid shoe, great for high impact activities. Just wish AA were slightly narrower.

    - Stockton, CA, USA

"I've followed this line since the 622. Solid best describes this shoe. Just wish AA width was slightly narrower and women's size 12 offered colors other than white. Black would be a nice option. Wear this shoe for high impact studio activities."

    Nov 19, 2015

Too narrow in the toe box.

    - Livonia, NY 14487, USA

"I wanted to try something different from what I usually order. It didn't work out for me. Good shoe- they just don't fit me right."

    Nov 6, 2015

I love this shoe. Please don't ever stop making my favorite style.

    - Angleton, Texas

"This shoe is great. WX624WT2. Is all I buy. It fits good and is very comfortable. You can wear them all day and they still feel good."

    New blance 624

Disappointed in so-called leather upper digging into tops of toes

    - Miami, FL

"I bought these to replace my worn out leather 622 cross-trainers, after returning the 608 whose stiff ankle tops dug into my ankles. While my ankles did not hurt at all in these shoes (since these backs are flexible mesh), I was very disappointed in the toe box area not looking or feeling or acting like real leather. The website claims these shoes have leather uppers, but maybe it is just trim area. When your run your finger over the top of the toe area, it feels like smooth solid plastic/vinyl, not supple like leather (like my old 622's). It also smells like plastic and not leather when you put your nose right on that spot. The problem is that when you keep bending your feet during exercising (i.e. lifting the backs of your feet while keeping your forefoot down on the ground), the top of the toe box area does not have any "give"; it simply bends sharply inward with the crease-point pressing down onto the tops of your toes. Inside the shoe at that point is the sewn-in tongue, and during this depression you feel all the edges of where the tongue is sewed-in rubbing on your toe-tops. After a workout, you could end up with skin rubbed off the tops of your toes. I think if this area was real leather, there would be more flexibility so that it would not cause a sharp bend into your toe tops. Think of a hard cardboard that you fold - you will not get a rounded out crease but a sharp defined crease. Unfortunately, I will have to return these. I was hoping to find a leather cross-trainer that would flex and stretch to the shape of my foot, but this so-called leather does not look like it will one day ever flex and stretch like real leather would."
