"I purchased a pair of 840 v2 about one and a half years ago. Size 12 4E incredible shoes with mesh uppers making them extremely cool and dry on your feet during long gym workouts. The cushioning of the 840 line is excellent, I'm over age 50. And had let myself go getting up over 300 lbs. The 840 s provided me the comfort to get started walking and adding distance now I'm down over 100 lbs. And up to 10 miles a day. I am surprised by others who comments speak of shoes wearing out. Geez folks if they made them to last forever the shoes would be so tuff and uncomfortable you couldn't wear them. Get a new pair every 6 months or sooner no matter what brand you buy. Your feet and joints will thank you."

"I purchased the 840 v2 approximately a year and a half ago in the process I noticed there were multiple issues. The stitching became un-stitched in the toe area within 6 months. The fabric material between the shoe laces and the toes after about 12 months began to fail and wear out. The heel of the shoe was worn off within 14 months. Granted I purchased the shoes on the specific fact that they are made here in the US rather the sending jobs overseas. Regardless it is either intentional or otherwise negligent for the manufacturer to provide inferior materials to the personnel to fabricate such products which would wear out in half the normal time frame. Should the shoes be requested for examination or failure analysis simply send the box and the prepaid documentation and I will send them back to you for the basic principal there is no logical reason to have products fail this quickly."

"Could not believe the comfort of this shoe. It is wide and large. Style is not its forte, comfort is. Used this pair for about a year on daily walks on cement sidewalks. Usually alternate with 860 Running shoe. Both have held up very well and I have bought a pair of both. The old pair is now my yard work shoe."
