    Narrow enough!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I love how this shoe fits my narrow feet. My forefoot doesn't slide around and get blisters, and my heel feels snug. There is a little toe room but not too much. I wrote to the company and they said the last was wx-001, which is a regular fit all the way around. I'm a 12 narrow in sports shoes, and I probably have lower volume feet. Because of ligament issues, I need motion control as well, which this shoe has. So many so-called narrow shoes are not. This is my new shoe for walking and bicycling."

    VERY UNCOMFORTABLE

"I've been wearing New Balance for years & it seems EVERY time you find a pair that works great they try to upgrade but unfortunately the upgrade never seems to be as good as the original. I did purchase a pair and have tried my best to wear them because they are expensive but I've had to give up the fight. They are way too short and rub blisters on my toes. I have never had a pair of New Balance to do that! Save your money and purchase something other than the 857, however, now I haven't a clue now what to try!"

"I bought these for general use but don't do any running. I have a very narrow shoe size and these come in Narrow. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I'm on my second pair now. I just wear them to the gym and recommend them for general use."

    Very uncomfortable

"I love New Balance and have been purchasing sneakers from them for years!! This was the first pair of sneakers I've purchased that have been miserable to wear. They look great, but are far more narrow than I'm used to. I've never had a reason to buy a wide size shoe or sneaker, but with style it would have been worth it. I've been trying to tough it out because the sneakers were a tad bit expensive, but I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out. They're simply far too uncomfortable to wear on a regular basis. I'll continue to buy from New Balance, but I'll avoid this particular style."

    Cannot wear the shoes

"I have worn these shoes for six years. This year's version is very different. Finally, I compared old and new shoes. The collar around the ankle is so thick, it rubs into my ankles with each step. My toes don't have the room either. Wasted money. Wish I had seen reviews beforehand. Too late to exchange."
