    Soles are hard

"The soles are much more harder than the previous models (856 and 857). When you're walking on a hard surface it sounds like you have taps on your shoes. I've been wearing the 856's and 857's for years and my plantar fasciitis hasn't bothered me at all but after just 3 days of wearing these V2's at work, my plantar fasciitis has started to flare up again. I am very disappointed with this V2 series."

"The soles on these new 857 V2s are much harder than the previous 857 and 856 models. I dont know why New Balance feels the need to constantly change these shoes and mess up a good thing. I walk a lot at work and I have had great luck with the 856 and the 857 models but I've only been wearing these 857V2s for 3 days and my feet are killing me. This was a total waste of money in my opinion."

"Shoes fit well and they are still comfortable several weeks after purchase. Purchase and Delivery through NB went well also."

"They reduced the amount of lacing holes from 6 to 5. That caused the shoe not to be as secure. After wearing them one time the top lace almost pulled out of the top hole. The shoes feel loose all the time. You cant depend on them."

"I got these for my 28 yr old son. He's a teacher and on his feet hours at a time. He loves these shoes but his orthopedic doctor really did tell him this is a great shoe that fits him perfectly. My wife and I got these for one of his Christmas gifts. We know he'll really enjoy them."

"This shoe was expensive for me at $125 but I had such a great experience with an older model 857, I got rewards points and got a discount + shipping. I gone thru shoes and I'm hoping to get at least 6 months out this one. I stand for 10 hours. I recommend insoles with pressure relief."

"Nice roomy toebox! No break in required for me. I am hopeful that they'll wear like iron like my many pairs of 1011's - we'll see. I do hope they come out with additional colors."
