"I have purchased several pairs of shoes lately searching for the right fit. I have purchased NB and Nike but could not find a shoe that worked for me. I have arthritis in both ankles and a wide foot so finding a shoe is a chore. These fit good right out of the box and are all day shoes and 2 days later I still am impressed. They have a wide toe box and seems to be made for a wide, big foot. Finally NB brought back a shoe for the big guy. It seems every time I find a NB shoe that works for me they change it or discontinue it. I really hope NB doesn't change or discontinue this one. Maybe I will buy a few pairs now so I'm covered for there changes."

"I was fitted for this shoe by a very knowledgeable young lady at a local running store. After checking my gait and seeing that I had slight pronation with both feet, she suggested two different shoes. The first was a Saucony, and the second was the NB 860. The Saucony felt OK, but after trying on the NB, there was no doubt about which one I wanted. The NB felt fabulous. After two weeks and 35 miles, it's clear I made the right choice. If you can finish your weekly long run (in my case a Saturday nine miler) and not think about your feet or shoes even once, then it was a good choice. Very happy with the 860. Lightweight, stable, and comfortable, all of which are crucial for a 57 year old runner."

"I've had these shoes since December and I've absolutely loved them. I wear them as everyday shoes, and they are the best New Balance ones I've bought. They have amazing support and are very comfortable! I just bought another pair."

If you need pronation control, this may not be the best shoe

"Ordered this shoe with the intention of finding a stability shoe. I pronate on one side pretty bad. This shoe provides initial roll control but for those who pronate at later stages in their gait, this shoe tends to roll inward. If you have more of a neutral gait then this may work very well for you. I did enjoy the fit and feel of the shoe. Just not enough motion control for me (was hoping to find the NB version of say a GTS13)."
