A stable running shoe no longer has to be a heavy running shoe. The New Balance 870v3 reigns at the lighter side of stability, with the synthetic and TPU upper offering a light, breathable, comfortable fit, and the extended ABZORB® crash pad, the blown rubber forefoot and the REVlite® midsole—featuring an 8mm offset—bringing the stability and comfort when the rubber hits the road. Keep things light with the 870v3.

    Horrible design

"Stay away from these shoes if you underpronate. I have been running for roughly 17 years and have almost used New Balance exclusively. I bought this shoes because I under pronate when I run. The shoes have a hard inside and soft outer so that when I run it makes my pronation even worse causing excessive rolling of my feet. I have even tried to use these shoes in the gym and cannot work legs with them because of how bad they force you foot to roll."

Light and SO comfortable, but not so durable...

May 15, 2014 by | San Antonio, TX, USA

    • Used Product For: 8 or more weeks
    • Miles with Product: 20+ miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 16-20 miles

"Am daily short distance runner, about 20 miles / week. Found these very light and comfortable, but noting separation at edge of tread on both shoes after 3 months. Might not be best choice for daily trainer, despite extraordinary comfort"

    Another Great NB shoe.

    November 15, 2013 by | Kentucky

    • Used Product For: less than 2 weeks
    • Miles with Product: 6-10 miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 16-20 miles
    • Primary Activity: Running

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I mainly run trails and the NB 1210 is my mainstay there. I bought these for the road because I did not want to wear the 1210s out on the road. I love these shoes. The have just the right balance of padding (less) and drop (8mm) that works for me. Pay attention to the comments about these running narrow because it appears they do. I normally wear a 2E and a 4E is a better fit for me in the 870v3. Solid performance in a great shoe. The lacing system is wonderful."
