Great shoe, no problems with wearing out

3/10/15 by | Long Island, NY

    • Used Product For: 8 or more weeks
    • Miles with Product: 20+ miles
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 20+ miles

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I've had these trainers since October and they're only getting the smallest signs of wear-a bit of a hole in the heel-now in March. Since I'm a competitive athlete who goes on 75+ minute runs twice a week, this is a sturdy shoe. No problems with the shoe falling apart, as others have said. I have problems with overpronation and these shoes helped a lot, and the comfort level is fantastic. I've had friends try my sneakers on and rave about how comfortable they are. Can't wait for an update in this shoe, hope the v4 comes out soon!"

    Flimsy Comfort

11/23/14 by | Newport News, VA

    • Used Product For: 6-8 weeks
    • Avg Miles Per Week: 0-5 miles
    • Primary Activity: Walking

"I bought these shoes the first week of September 2014, I bought them for wearing around the house and for casual use because I have fallen arches and I have to wear supportive shoes all the time. I wore them as intended, around the house to the store that kind of thing; no hard core walking or running, no trails or anything like that. After about a month (after the 30 day return date of course) I noticed that the rubber sole was separating from the shoes in several areas. I having to glue them together to keep them together. However aside from the fact that they fall apart quicker than any shoe I have ever owned they are quite comfortable. If they weren't falling apart I would completely recommend them for their comfort and style but seeing as how I am not having to invest in superglue I would have to say no, I don't recommend them. Especially for over $100.00. This is the first time I have had this problem with NB shoes and I have to say I am pretty bummed. I really hope that NB hasn't started cutting corners I really don't want to have to start shopping around for quality running shoes."

Stitching fell apart on both shoes after 1 day.

    6/14/14 by | Michigan

"Shoe has a very nice toe box and was very comfortable to walk in. Felt my stride was very good in these shoes. Heel is a bit wide. I walked over 2 miles the first time I wore them without issue. Unfortunately when I took them off I noticed the stitching on the inside and outside of both shoes had come apart."

    Very comfortable, horrible quality

5/13/14 by | Pullman, WA, USA

"These shoes fit and feel great on your foot. I have very low/no arches and pronate a little bit as a result. These shoes are lightweight yet still provide enough support to help out with my problems. Only issue is they start to fall apart after a few months. I contacted New Balance about it after my first pair started to degrade at the toe bend (the material on the top just started to fall apart) and they sent me a new pair at no charge. It was even after v3 came out and I had originally purchased v2, so I was hopeful that they would have improved the quality. Not so. This pair is degrading in the same exact spot. And I am not a runner or a high activity person - these were just the pair of sneakers I'd wear when I wore sneakers. Now, less than a year after receiving them, the top of the toe box is ripping and I had to buy new shoes. Unfortunately I went with a different brand as I can no longer trust that New Balance shoes will last. It's really a shame as the shoes really do feel and look great."
