    Poor fit, hurt calves

1/26/16 by | Savannah, GA, USA

"I had very good luck with the 880v4 in wide width. The wide width of Version 5 is narrower, weighs more and hurts my upper outside calves. It feels stiffer. The forefoot feels narrow and the heel feels too wide. My sock slipped down my heel. I am disappointed and returned the shoes. I hope version 6 is better since I liked version 4 so much."

"Shoe laces are too short. I ordered the purple color. Where can you find laces this color. Why does New Balance have such strange colors of shoes?"

Nice room in the toe box

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"I was training for a half marathon and tried 3 different brands before I finally decided on the New Balance 880v5. I usually wear a 9 but had to go up to a 9.5, so I would say they run a little small. It is a very comfortable fit and plenty of room in the toe box. The laces tie well, and stay tied, which is an issue I was having with some other brands. The ankle area does feel a tad bit lose but that could be because I had to go up a 1/2 size. But not lose enough to cause a problem. The only issue I have had with this shoe is the tongue on my right foot slips to the side after walking/running in them for like 5 minutes. It is not uncomfortable but a little annoying after a while. However, it still is a very comfortable cushy shoe. I ran 13.1 miles in them after owning them for only 2 weeks and they held up perfect."
