"this is a terrible terrible shoe and I'm a New Balance guy. My first pair ripped on the side, my foot and toe totally exposed. this was on the left foot. The right one was getting a rip. while I was returning these a lady was doing the same thing with the same shoe next to me. The NB guy gracefully took it back and gave me a new pair. Now 5 months out the exact same thing, but worse, and I don't wear them hard... really. DONT buy this shoe!!"

"I was attracted to the 910 for the gore-tex lining and the trail use, which implied extra durability. The shoes fit pretty good and seem true to size. The problem I have is the build quality/durability. The upper started tearing/ripping in several spots where the crease forms across the toes where you step. At first I thought I had inadvertently damaged them, but then the rips started forming on the other shoe as well in the same area. All of this after a month or so with fairly light use, mainly on dirt roads. I've been a faithful NB fan for about 15 years (since I learned I'm a 4E width) and have never had a shoe fall apart so easily. I can not recommend this shoe and have some misgiving on the brand as whole after this experience."

"I run on a trail that isn't exactly what you would call "maintained". There are a couple of places I need to jump in order to cross a gap, the extra cushioning on these shoes is wonderful for those landings that don't go so great. These shoes have gone through a lot so far. They've seen some serious mud, soft earth, loss gravel, tree roots, hard pact earth, I've even had the trail fall apart under me and dump me in the creek, kept my feet dry and happy."

Yes, I recommend this product.
"This is basically a road shoe with a trail tread. The shoe body is gortex and thus your feet stay dry and warm. My regular road shoe is the 1080 and the cushioning here is comparable. The tread is aggressive and give great grip in snow and ice. I live in Minnesota so I know what I am talking about here. I run in very thin socks and I did have a small blister issue with the tongue the first couple of runs, which I am sure would not have happened with a thicker sock and that does not happen at all now that they are broken in. The bottom line is that I am putting 40-50 miles a week into these shoes and love them. I am sure to buy another pair."

"I was looking for a waterproof trail shoe for running in snowy/slushy and cold conditions. I needed something not too ventilated to keep my toes warm on cold runs. Got these 910V1GTX shoes today and went out and ran a 5 mile run on snow/slush covered streets and a snow covered rail-trail at 35 degrees and they were great! My toes didn't get cold and my feet didn't get too hot. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is they are a little heavy but worth the trade off for the extra protection. I would definitely purchase these again. Can't wait to see how they do on the muddy trail races in the spring."
