"I was hesitant when I first pulled these shoes out of the box. As per NB comments and suggestions, I ordered these shoes a half size up (I usually wear a women's 9, so I ordered these in 9.5). When I put them on and wore them around the house, they felt uncomfortable, almost too small, and the support in the sole pushed up in a weird spot near the ball of my foot - it kind of made my feet feel like they were going to sleep. After a night of wearing them around the house, I was a little bit nervous about trying to run in them.. so nervous I took my old shoes to the trail head with me, just in case. As soon as I started to run however, all of the discomfort was completely gone. I had to re-tie the shoes once because they loosened up and broke in quickly, but felt very stable, lightweight, and comfortable during the rest of the run. The toe-box gives my foot plenty of room to comfortably spread out without feeling loose or sloppy, and my heels feel secure in the back. So far, I have done around 20-25 miles in them, mostly in snow and mud, but some on hard pack dirt too, and I am very happy with them. I feel confident in every step, even in these slick conditions, my feet, knees and ankles are comfortable, and my feet feel light and agile. Take my review with a grain of salt- I am just getting (more seriously) into running and my last pair of running shoes were completely worn out and not trail shoes, so my frame of reference is small, but I would definitely recommend trying out a pair of these! I would also recommend ordering at least a half size up compared to other brands."

Very nice shoe - doesn't beat the 810v3

"Very lightweight with stretchable fabric. Bought wide width related to a buninon but still a little narrow at first (good stretch after wear 3 or 4 times). Moderate arch support and no room for inserts. Overall I like these but not as much as I did the 810."

"Perfect light weight trail running or hiking shoe. I did notice they were a little snug in comparison to my other new balance shoes that were the same size. I recommend sizing up half a size."
