"I started walking this last summer. I am over weight and started trying to find a show to walk in that would not break down on the inside. I read an article that recommended this show for overweight walkers. The recommendation was correct. I have broken down the insert that came with the shoe, but the shoe structure remained sound. Another pair of inserts and I will be okay again."

"These are the best athletic shoes I've owned. They are lightweight and very comfortable to walk in."

"Why are the laces so short - is NB "cutting costs"?"

"I like the fit and comfort but the heel strike wears out very fast wish it were a more durable material. i"

"The 928 original was probably the best sneaker I've ever put on my feet. The V2?? AWFUL!! Too tight, much different feel, and made my knee sore after only a few hours. Please bring back the old version!!"

"This is my first pair of the Version 2 of this shoe. While it is still in the break-in stage it seems like they most likely work. The new design is cool in high temps and the cushioning is also good. The shoe feels snug to almost a little narrow, maybe a new extra wide (7 or 8 XXXXW) is needed. A large toe box and width in the fore and top are required for people with diabetes, neuropathy, and edema. Also The shoe laces are too short if you must spread the closure very much. Going up a half size may help, but not sure that is a viable answer. Will have to wait and see how the shoes do once fully broken in."

"Got a 10EEEEEE (6E) shoe and the fit was horrible. Returned them for being two short/narrow. Not much selection at EEEEEE width. Ended up going to local factory store to get a different shoe completely."

"I have loved every shoe from the 925, 926,927 and 928. When I ordered my 928v2 I expected another comfortable shoe. It was very uncomfortable. I don't know what changed, whether it is a lower arch, Less support, whatever. But something definitely changed for the worse."

"I have had a wide foot since retiring from the Navy. This shoe is great for me. I had to return other shoes because they listed as wide, but they were not a good fit for me. This is just what I needed"

"My husband has been wearing New Balance shoes for years, and always believed that they were the most comfortable and affordable shoes he had tried. For the last several years, he has purchased the 928v2. He feels that these particular shoes are the only ones that he truly finds comfortable. He has a lot of problems with his feet because of an auto accident several years ago. After trying several different brands, the New Balance shoes are the only one that he can wear all day without discomfort."

"I've purchased this same model shoe numerous times and have always found them to be very comfortable. I have very wide feet "6E" which makes it difficult to find shoes that are not only comfortable but stylish, This model fills both those requirements."

"I need a really wide shoe, and the 928v2 in 6E fits the bill (barely, but it does the trick). The shoe is also very well engineered to get the correct footstrike-roll-pushoff. The problem is ventilation. This shoe is not really designed for long walks (by which 5+ miles). It is designed for going for a couple of mile walks in the morning when you feet do not sweat that much. The upper on the 1540v2 is much more breathable, but that shoe rolls my foot too much to the inside. I need that top with this sole. Also, the glaring white is bit much--I'm thinking of finding a mud puddle to jump in to cut the glare."

"I have bad balance problems and your shoes help me a lot to walk. My only regret is that they no longer have the pull up loops at the heels they had a few years ago when I last bought a pair.."

"I have purchased the 928 Leather shoe for a few years now. This time there is a change in the shoe for the worse. I don't know why you think it is necessary to constantly change your shoes. I finally found the past 928 shoes because I needed the 6E wide. I put these new shoes on and they instantly hurt my feet. They have new insoles in them that are thicker (more padding) which makes less room in the shoe. I am debating on returning them and praying that I can find a shoe somewhere that I can wear comfortably. This is the second time you have changed a shoe on me that used to fit. Just leave well enough alone. Bring back the old 928 shoe please!!!!!!!!!!"

"I'm going through my fifth back surgery and these N.B. shoes make my morning walk much easier than any other walking shoe I have ever owned. I've been wearing N.B. shoes for as long as I can remember. I'm 74 years old and that's a long, long time. I highly recommend your shoes to anyone out there."
