"I have flat feet and find it hard to find shoes that work with my inserts. These shoes are absolutely amazing! The rollbar technology helps so much. These are expensive but so worth it!!!!"

"The two small holes on the side of the right shoe were not punched through at the factory, which means I can't tie the shoe. I will exchange them for another pair."

"I have purchased 6 pairs of the 927's and was delighted, the freedom of walking, the complete comfort with no thought was amazing. I could easily fit my orthotic arch support and had plenty of room in the toe box. The cushion was so excellent I could take a jolt while walking and just shake it off. I have a hernia and need the shock absorption. But this 928 shoe has a harder heel which I would have accepted except the toe box has been made smaller. It hurts in spots and when wearing them outside I had to walk with my big toe curled under to avoid pain that was causing me to limp. Curling my big toe then caused abrasion on another toe and some sort of swelling appeared on the top of it. Like others I felt compelled to wear the 927 because of health even though my own podiatrist commented on it's lack of beauty calling it "a truck of a shoe". He didn't understand the quality of life that foot comfort brings as I do. I admit I am worried since I don't know what else to wear. NB, if you are listening, I'd pay what it costs, it's not cheap to start with so what if it costs $150 or whatever? Charge what you have to, but please bring back the incomparable comfort of the 927. (Also, I much prefer it in leather as well since that looks like a discrete shoe which looks better with slacks than does a mesh sneaker.)"

"Bought the original 928 for after knee replacement, the shoe was fantastic. One year later to replace them the new ones did not feel right. I developed plantar facitis and went back to my old pair. needed to buy a new pair for my new orthodic and some how ended up with a new 928. I thought maybe it was just that old shoe. After 2 days I took them back I could not believe that anything could be so uncomfortable. Maybe they will dsicontinue that shoe if we stop buying it."

PLEASE bring back the 4E in this shoe.

    - Charleston, SC

"I have a Special Needs daughter who has been wearing this shoe for years. She absolutely will not put another shoe on her feet. Since you discontinued the 4E width, we have not been able to buy her new shoes, she is still wearing the same ones from last year. Tried the 2E but did not work with her extra wide foot. Please, please, please bring back the 4E in this shoe."

"I've worn the 928 shoes for many years and they have been perfect for my feet. But these new ones are disappointing. The tongues are too short and when I walk the laces slip off the tongue onto my foot. Also, when I step on the heel, it jars my leg and feels like the heel is not padded. Please go back to the original."

    Excellent shoe, does not disappoint

    - Sun City, AZ

"Excellent shoe, very comfortable from the start, no breaking in! shoe is plenty wide, no pinch as well"

    New design hurts my foot.

    - Clayton NC

"I've worn the style like this made before it was changed for several years and have had no problems, I have been very happy with it. Comfort, fit, durability all excellent. This new shoe has a change in design of the lace eyelet. No matter how I lace it, it hurts the top of my foot. I have been unable to break it in or get used to it. I have a second pair in gray. If it also hurts I am going to return it. I am very disappointed and at a loss as to what to order for a replacement style. I walk four miles a day."

    Good but not great!

    - Port Bolivar, TX

"The only complaint I have about this shoe is that it squeaks. It has taken a week of constantly adding powder to the right shoe to get the squeaking to stop."

    Great for summer

    - Shawnee, KS

"I've purchased this shoe in white leather & tan suede and wanted something for summer. This version is perfect. And so comfortable! I've got a torn achilles & there was plenty of room for my lace-up brace."

This shoe is not accurately described on the website.

    - Severna Park,MD

"I have worn the 928 for quite a while and been very happy with it. I wanted a new pair, but my local NB store closed so I thought I would order the shoe online. I saw the 928 was now the 928v2, but did not think much about it. Big mistake. The toe area is smaller than my old 928s. Also, the color was changed from gray and white to all white and the insert is different. It has been a very bad experience. My very expensive new shoes are not comfortable, I spent a lot of money, and I am wearing my old shoes. This shoe is not correctly advertised on the website. Beware if you are even thinking of purchasing these shoes."

    Comfortable shoes!

    - Los Olivos, CA, USA

"I recently came back to New Balance, after getting fed up with the metal grommets in all their shoes, turning the top of my shoes, and my socks black. But, after trying out shoes from several other companies, noone else produces a shoe anywhere near as comfy as New Balance. So I bought these, happy with fit and comfort, and was prepared to use pliers to rip off the grommets, and more grommets. Thanks!!"

    - Burlington, WA 98233, USA

"I bought these shoes because they were highly rated for 2016 walking shoes. So far I have no complaints about my shoes."

I have always liked these shoes but am disappointed with the quality of this pair.

    - Barnstable County, MA, USA

"The stitching is coming undone around the toe of the shoe after having worn them 3 or 4 times"

This shoe is great if you're on you're feet all day

    - Monroeville, PA, USA

"Thought I would try this shoe after it was recommended by someone on the phone. It is very comfortable even after being on my feet for 10 hours. A little pricey-but well worth it."

    928 vs 928 V2

    - Huntsville, AL

"I previously owned 2 pair of 928 shoes. The look definitely improved, but at the cost of the comfort. The V2 shoes are much narrower. I always go to the local new balance store to buy. I can usually have them look up what I previously purchased and am good to go. Thank goodness I tried them on. I went up a width in the V2, and after wearing them today I am questioning if I should have gone up 2 widths. For those of us that are forced to wear these due to ankle issues, the comfort is much more important than the improved looks."

    Great product.

"Have worn 928 for a number of years. Great support!"

    Walked all over Spain

    - Dallas,TX

"WARNING: THESE RUN VERY NARROW, I wear a WW and got a 2E, fit great. Several people remarked the earlier model was better. Don't know, never had it. What I can tell you is that I wear orthotics and bought these for a trip to Spain where we were walking for 9-10 hours a day. I've been to Europe several times before and tried to maintain dignity in my shoe choices (no running shoes) and I was miserable. My feet were happy in these for the entire 2 week trip. That was last September. On my way to Germany now and ordering a second pair as I've worn out the first pair walking the dogs, etc. Love them, love the roll bar, wish they came in other colors."

    Not what I expected

    - Indiana

"Very disappointed in the new 928x2. I've worn New Balance for years, but you really messed up this time. For those of us with orthotics, this is not the shoe to buy. Leather is too soft for good ankle support. I feel like I am walking on the ground. No padding in heal. I wear a wide shoe, this shoe is too narrow. I am on concrete every day at work. This shoe is very disappointing. Why didn't you keep it the way it was? It didn't need to change. Wish I had bought more of these before you made this change."
