    Size runs too small.

    10/5/15 by | New Mexico

    • Used Product For: less than 2 weeks

"I have purchased New Balance running and walking shoes for many years. I have consistently ordered a 10D, in a number of different models, and have been able to rely on getting a good fit. Not needing to bother trying different sizes has been a convenient feature that has drawn me to New Balance - especially for a web order. The 959v2 10Ds were too small. I returned them."

Sizes are very difficult to determine

    Yes, I recommend this product.

"Since New Balance dropped their "last" sizing information, it has become very difficult to determine what the actual size of a selected shoe is. Their old system was foolproof once a customer found a last which fit - now, that information has been deleted, and it's a real guessing game to get a proper fit - usually requiring several returns for a different size. Once renowned for building shoes on a variety of lasts, New Balance has fallen to the level of the rest of the industry. My recommendation is conditional in view of this factor."

    Loose feel

"I don't like the fact that I have hard time finding the same shoe from year to year. I find one I like then no longer available. This pair was funny when I first put them on. Felt to short in the back didn't stay on right. Never had a shoe that did that. I wore them outdoors so sending back wasn't an option. I have tightened the laces a great deal and seems to be better. Shoes are typical good quality I counted on, no complaints there. If I was in a store and tried these on I would not have purchased them, BUT I would have looked at a different NB shoe because of the many pairs and years I have had very good experiences with these products."

These shoes are good except they run very narrow. I usually wear a 2E but I had to order a 4E and they are still a little snug.

"I love New Balance shoes but these were much stiffer and narrower than it's predecessor the 959. I would not buy these again. The fit was good but the shoe is not very comfortable considering it is a walking shoe."
