Nice style, nice comfort, but too long and narrow

"Mostly I like these court shoes. They are fairly light for quick movement. I like the style and color options. And they are well cushioned for being as light as they are. However, the fit is just a bit odd. I normally wear a 9-1/2 3E - I can often fit in a 2E size without too much effort. But these shoes feel really narrow for a 2E shoe. And they also seem about a half to full size longer as well. So, for this shoe to fit well, I would have to order a size 9-4E shoe to get the length and width right. Unfortunately the shoe does not come in a 4 E width, so I will be sticking with the NB 1005 court shoe for now. I hope NB will ofter a 4E option in the future in the 996 style."

"i bought the 996 shoes to give new balance a shot. i wanted to break away from the traditional big boys.however these shoes might not be for everyone. the reviews for these shoes. have been mixed. i personally like them because they are different. i'm a tennis instructor, so i just use them on the tennis court, but on the court, they are stable and sit very low to the ground, i'm hoping new balance will add these shoes to their custom made lineup."

"Despite less durability compared to other shoes, they really aren't meant to. These are incredibly light and low to the ground. Great comfort and traction. I will buy these again."
