"I've never worn New Balance shoes, so I thought I'd try this pair. I ordered my usual recommended athletic shoe size of 6.5 wide (D) and I've never experienced a more ill-fitting, uncomfortable shoe in my life. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would never try or buy another New Balance shoe."

"I have wide feet so these tennis sneakers are great. They are very comfortable and I really like the color options."

"I make a living on my feet, so I need good shoes. I have bought NB shoes many times before, but these shoes hurt my feet. I have tried to break this pair in like the rest of them, which were without issues, but these shoes still hurt my feet. its like they are narrow from the ball of the foot forward."

"I really wanted to love these shoes, but they just don't measure up. I love the look of this shoe, but I honestly will not play tennis in it. I have been wearing the 806 Motion Control for ages - and would like to have a better looking shoe - but these are a poor substitute. I have dreamed about having a custom-designed pair of these, but bought the standard version to try it out. First, I need an extra-wide, and the last on this shoe is not extra-wide. It's snug. Second, even though I tried removing the insoles, and inserting my arch supports, there is something about the way this shoe was designed that makes me feel like my feet and ankles are pronating. Third, I like to be able to run down a lob at full-speed, or lunge left and right for a ball, and this shoe does not give me a secure feeling of stability. Sorry, NB, but unfortunately, it's true. If you look up my records, you will see I have been an online customer since you started this website in 1999, and that I buy two or three pairs of new tennis shoes every year from you. Can't you make a shoe with the stability of the 806, with the great styling of the 996v2, in extra-wide?"
